The coronavirus is nowadays regarded as any other respiratory tract infection. There is no longer a need for specific instructions concerning COVID-19.
The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare updated its corona-related recommendations before Christmas. If you test positive for the virus, the basic instructions are as follows: Stay home until the symptoms have clearly weakened and you don’t have a fever. This usually takes 3–5 days.
Earlier, you were instructed to stay home at least five days after the first symptoms.
Normal sick leave practices are followed in coronavirus cases from now on.
