With main campus located in Rovaniemi, at the Arctic Circle, Lapland is international and multidisciplinary. It is far – on top of the world. University of Lapland is the northernmost science and art university in Finland and in the European Union. That is why we have so good connections by land, air, sea and WiFi.

Best things in life – however – don´t need a password: In Lapland it is peaceful, clean and safe. Pallas, in Finnish Lapland, is one of the places that measures the cleanest air in the world (particle concentrations remain under 4 µg/m3) (WHO 2016). For many years in a row, Finland has been ranked the safest country in the world according to the World Economic Forum (WEF).

A sense of community is also very important to people here in the far north. The campus in Rovaniemi, is a close-knit multicultural community that offer students a lively and modern learning environment. Every 5th student on campus is international. Yes, it’s cold, but the people here are warm. You’ll make it!
