Arctic Design Week in Rovaniemi

Rovaniemi will host the world’s northernmost design week between 16 and 22 February 2015. The Arctic Design Week (ADW) consists of several exhibitions, where also students of the Faculty of Art and Design of the University of Lapland show their claws.

The event will be arranged in Rovaniemi for the seventh time now. This time the theme is Transparency, and it is produced by three creative companies based in Rovaniemi.

The ADW exhibitions take place in Pilke Science Centre, Arktikum, Revontuli Shopping Centre, Taito Lappi, Värinä Gallery, Rovaniemi City Library, and the main campus of the University of Lapland.

The Arctic Design Week is organized by the city of Rovaniemi and the Rovaniemi Regional Development Agency in collaboration with the Faculty of Art and Design at the University of Lapland, Pilke Science Centre / Metsähallitus, Arktikum, and many other partners and companies.

The producers of the programme, contents, and strategic planning of the ADW are Jan Leutola and Maxim Narbrough from Treeform Oy, Julius Oförsagd, and Päivi Tahkokallio from Tahkokallio Design+ Oy.
