New business potential related to robotics product development and research is explored. The long-term vision is to bring robotics, artificial intelligence and digital twins into an integral part of the low-carbon Lapland society and SMEs.

Objectives
  • Support the growth of robotics and artificial intelligence in small and medium-sized enterprises in Lapland and related RDI cooperation between enterprises and universities.
  • Promote collaboration between actors and explore new business potential related to robotics product development and research.
  • Target the knowledge and experience gained from previous projects towards practical applications of AI, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • Make university R&D environments more visible, discoverable and accessible to SMEs.
  • Develop low-threshold research and development services.
  • Provide access to laboratory services, testing environments and project staff expertise.
  • Increase the region’s innovation capacity in developing low-carbon and energy-efficient processes, products and services.
