Why donate?

Support education

The University of Lapland educates experts that shape the future of Finland and the North. We educate:

  • 25 % of Finland’s jurists
  • 30 % of Finland’s industrial designers
  • Teachers for all the schools in the Finnish Lapland region
  • Experts of tourism and social work to support the vitality of the region.
Support the vitality of the North

Donations enable us to develop our research, education and operation environment, which strengthens the appeal, expertise and internationalisation of the Finnish Lapland.

Support Arctic research

We are an internationally recognised university known for our research on the Arctic and North. Your donation supports the research and artistic work that deepens understanding of the special characteristics and global significance of the Arctic region.
