Research in Law

The Faculty of Law of the University of Lapland is the leading research unit in Law in northern Finland. Our research community Northern Legal Lights – ULapland Legal Research Community combines basic and multidisciplinary research on various legal streams of research. Furthermore, the thematic multidisciplinary research group Law, Technology and Sustainability Transitions operates within the faculty. In our research and development activities, we tap into regional, national and international networks. We are actively engaged in several international research networks, editorial boards of international scientific journals, and international publishing activities.
