In celebration of Sámi National Day Week, new Sámi short films will be screened at the University of Lapland on Friday 6 February at 1 pm in the Esko and Asko Hall. The event is open to everyone and free of charge – welcome bures boahtin!

The films are screened in cooperation with the SuMu research community of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Lapland, the Skábmagovat Indigenous Peoples’ Film Festival and MÁHTUT project .

The films are in Sámi, Finnish and Norwegian, and they have English subtitles. After the screening, coffee and cake will be served in front of the lecture hall.

The duration of the film event is about 82 minutes.
