Our research

Our research community brings together a multitude of perspectives and research methods to examine changing northern communities and environments. The research themes are based on the faculty’s strong tradition of critical and developmental research and projects on well-being, work and citizenship.

Moreover, the research community seeks to make innovative contributions e.g. to the fields of management of health and well-being and welfare law.

Our research community

  • strengthens the faculty’s multidisciplinary research on well-being, citizens’ empowerment and work
  • offers new perspectives on studying and understanding well-being, work and citizenship
  • strengthens emerging research orientations to e.g. support citizens’ well-being within the changing service structures and leadership in a digitalised society
  • makes research on well-being, work and citizenship visible in arenas of both applied knowledge and expert discussion.
