The science and art pitching sessions are communal events led by Vice-Rector for Research, Sari Lindblom. They take place on the stage of the former Café Lovisa on the second Wednesday of each month.

These pitch sessions are part of our university’s strategic research development plan, and their aim is to strengthen the sense of community across faculties and disciplines.

During the sessions, university members present their research and have the opportunity to receive feedback. Each presentation, including discussion, lasts 15–20 minutes and can be given in either Finnish or English. The events are held in person only and include coffee service.

Vice-Rector Sari Lindblom will host the sessions, which also serve as informal “knock-and-talk” moments with the Vice-Rector.

If you would like to present your work at a science and art pitch session, please contact Specialist Hanna Peltomaa. Even if you’re not presenting, feel free to join – everyone is welcome!

Warm welcome
