Instructions on how to use JobTeaser

JobTeaser is an European career and job portal, in which students and graduates can explore traineeships and jobs in the Finnish and European job markets, as well as participate in various events. Finnish universities are using JobTeaser as part of the career services, and throughout Europe the service is used by over 800 institutions of higher education and universities. You can create your own profile in the service and also define the job advertisements you want to see in your own dashboard or receive via e-mail.

In the JobTeaser-service you will find 

  • open traineeships, jobs or thesis topics targeted at University of Lapland students.
  • job and traineeship offers in the European labour market.
  • comprehensive selection of events organised by ULapland and other organisations both in Finland and in Europe. Many of the events happen online, so don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about the Finnish and European worklife and job markets and to build your networks.
  • Finnish and international employers’ profiles.
  • tips for job hunting.
  • In JobTeaser you can also book appointment to personal career counselling and job search guidance.

How to start using JobTeaser?

As a student, you can log in to JobTeaser with your ulapland.fi user id and after graduation as an alumna with the email you are using (when your ulapland.fi email is not valid anymore).

  1. Go to https://ulapland.jobteaser.com. Make sure you are on the University of Lapland’s JobTeaser page. If you can see the ULapland logo, you are on the right page.
  2. Change the language if needed by clicking the language button at the bottom of the page.
  3. Read the JobTeaser Terms of Use and Privace Policy and accept them.
  4. Log in
  5. Select your field of study when logging in. This is way you can see jobs and traineeships submitted by Finnish employers.
  6. Select your settings. Choose your degree level, estimated graduation year and your field of study. This will help you to get suitable job listings. Set also your job searching criteria. Note that the field of study and the languages you selected will affect the listing results for you.
  7. Almost done! You can now browse the job opportunities and traineeships on JobTeaser. Some steps to go…

  9. You can enable notifications for jobs and events.
  10. Update your JobTeaser-profile, with
    • a brief introduction of you,
    • your CV and possible LinkedIn profile,
    • your education and work experience and
    • your language competences (this will affect the listings JobTeaser will provide for you).

University of Lapland will not give any student information to JobTeaser, students register themselves to the service.

Are you graduating and would like to continue using JobTeaser?

Did you know, that the you can use the university Career services up to one year after graduation. You can have individual career counselling and also continue using JobTeaser after graduation. Remember to change your login -email address to JobTeaser, since your ulapland.fi user id iexpires upon graduation. You can do this in the Account Settings.

Steps to change your e-mail in JobTeaser

  1. In your Account Settings, change your ulapland.fi e-mail address to the e-mail address you will use after graduation.
  2. Log our of the JobTeaser.
  3. On the ULapland JobTeaser login page, click the “Log in with your email address” link and order yourself a new password with your new e-mail address by clicking the “Forgot your password?” link.
  4. After you have changed your password, you are able to continue using your JobTeaser account.
