Equality and equity 

Equality and equity are the cross-cutting themes of our research. We analyse the diversity and ever-growing societal importance of gender and other intersecting features that shape it. We critically examine the structures that create inequality and discrimination. Our research is especially focused on the comprehensive school system and the needs of the most challenged students who require extensive multidisciplinary support. Our research prevents social exclusion and othering in schools. By conducting sociological research in the field of adult education, we help our society to become more equal and strengthen social sustainability.
