Kasvatus - The Finnish Journal of Education - is a scientific periodical published by the Finnish Educational Research Association, and its publishing house is The Finnish Institute for Educational Research/University of Jyväskylä. The journal has been awarded Level 2 in the Finnish Publication Forum classification. Kasvatus is a local language (Finnish and Swedish) journal with the research article abstracts in English.

Research in Educational Sciences - The Journal of University Pedagogy

The Journal of University Pedagogy is a scientific journal specializing in university teaching and learning, published by the Finnish Society for Research on University Pedagogy (Yped). The Journal of University Pedagogy is an open-access online publication.
The journal publishes articles in Finnish or Swedish that focus on university pedagogy or address both the university and other higher education sectors. Articles in English may be published if the first author’s native language is not Finnish.

The Finnish Educational Research Association established the Research in Education publication series in 1999, and the first volumes were published in 2001. Seven faculties of education and the Finnish Institute for Educational Research at the University of Jyväskylä joined the initiative, and the series is edited at the Institute.
The series publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed scholarly works in the field of education, including research reports, doctoral dissertations, and edited collections. Publications may be written in Finnish, Swedish, or English.

Living in the Landscape Summer School: Hybrid Development Project

The international Living in the Landscape (LiLa) summer school has been an ambitious initiative aimed at developing art-based research methods that combine hands-on engagement with interdisciplinary research and philosophical reflection in the context of Arctic art and of Arctic art and design education. LiLa involve artists and art educators working closely with northern landscapes, Land and communities.

Kieletär Inari

Kaija Anttonen has translated and published Sámi literature, both scholarly and nonfiction works as well as fiction, into Finnish for decades. Her publishing house, Kieletär Inari, is the largest publisher of Sámi literature in Finnish in Finland. For many years, Kieletär has had a special focus on publishing Sámi children's and young adult literature in Finnish. In recognition of her work as a translator and publisher, Anttonen received the Lapland Art Award in 2024.

University of Tampere and MOTIproject

The MOTI project by the University of Tampere addresses challenges faced by young people and schools by developing pedagogy of class teacher guidance. The project supports the well-being and sense of purpose of both class teachers and young people. Combining science and art, the MOTI project is an interdisciplinary and multi-method research initiative that brings together research traditions from studies on meaning in life, youth research, and educational pedagogy.

University of Tampere: ECER 2026

The 2026 European Conference on Educational Research, ECER, and the Emerging Researchers' Conference, ERC, will be hosted by Tampere University 17 - 21 August 2026. The conference theme is: Knowing and Acting: The changing conditions and potentials of education research. Submission period is open from 1 December 2025 to 31 January 2026.
