Sino-Finnish Joint Learning Innovation Institute (JoLII) is a network that includes ten Finnish and seven Chinese universities. It was established in 2015 in cooperation between the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture and the Chinese Ministry of Education. JoLII network is coordinate in Finland by the University of Helsinki, and in China by Beijing Normal University. During its decade of operation, JoLII has been a platform for research, innovation and education projects between Finnish and Chinese actors in educational sciences and related fields. The JoLII outcomes include scientific conferences, seminars and other events, tens of peer-reviewed scientific publications, materials and tools for education professionals, as well as researcher, educator and student mobility between Finland and China. JoLII initiatives have often explored cutting-edge themes, such as artificial intelligence in education, already before they became the topic of mainstream education discussion.
